Alamance Artisans
Alamance Artisans is a North Carolina guild formed to nurture the production of fine crafts and fine arts, increase awareness of the value of handmade objects, facilitate networking among artisans for professional development and support, and develop marketing venues for artisans. Our membership includes professional artists, part-time artists, and beginners from Alamance County and surrounding areas. Some of our artists are nationally and regionally known, while others create at their leisure for the love of art. Our members work in the full range of mediums, including clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, oils, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, photography, and wood. Alamance Artisans offers a host of opportunities for professional development, networking, workshops, exhibitions and sales, and educational programs and also partners with the Alamance County Arts Council and other organizations to promote local art.
We meet at 7:30 PM on the third Tuesday of every month in the Small Dining Room of the Church of the Holy Comforter 320 E. Davis St., Burlington, NC 27215 Guests are welcome. Membership is open to artisans of any medium who are at least 16 years old. Alamance Artisans is an affiliate of the Alamance County Arts Council.

Alamance County Chapter of the North Carolina Symphony
The Alamance County Chapter of the North Carolina Symphony brings the Symphony here for two concerts each year plus they sponsor two “free” concerts for all fourth and fifth graders. www.ncsymphony.org
Gallery Players

Imagination Theatre
Imagination Theatre is an intergenerational community theatre. They produce two to three productions each year, usually within the historical auditorium of Holy Comforter Church. They also host a performing service troupe, Mimes & Magicians, which performs during regular productions and throughout the community. The Piano Teachers Association promotes excellence in teaching for the benefit of students of all ages and levels of advancement in the community.
Burlington Artists League
The Burlington Artists League encourages artists and the public to learn and appreciate visual art through their many workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions and competitions. Members of the BAL exhibit their works at Burlington Outlet Mall in Burlington
Cathedral Brass
The Cathedral Brass is a brass quartette that performs all types of music in concerts throughout the year.
The Mebane Acting Company
The Mebane Acting Company, Inc., is a community theatrical company designed to bring the culture of the performing arts to Mebane and its surrounding communities. The Company provides performance and educational opportunities for community members; supports the talents and abilities of those interested in theatre and the cultural arts; presents quality entertainment, competition, and community productions; and seeks to encourage involvement and appreciation of the arts to all members of the public. www.mebaneactingcompany.com

Snow Camp Historical Drama Society
The Snow Camp Historical Drama Society is the county’s only outdoor drama. The “Sword of Peace”, as well as the “Pathway to Freedom were developed to provide the public with an entertaining and educational presentation depicting early life in the Cane Creek community. Alamance Jazz Band

Burlington Writers Club

Burlington Boys Choir
The Burlington Boys Choir was founded 45 years ago. Miss Eva Wiseman was founder and director from 1958 to1994, During the choir's history over 500 boys have been educated not only in great sacred and classical music but in etiquette and discipline.
Drawn from the private and public schools in the Burlington area, the choristers range in age from nine to thirteen years old. Boys are chosen not only for their musical ability but also for their maturity, discipline, and high academic standing. The choir ranges in size from 20 to 30 members with an additional 10-20 boys in the Training Choir.
Annually the choir performs about twenty times in venues ranging from local church services and civic functions to their own public concerts and symphonic performances. The choir has traveled both at home and abroad including seven trips to Europe and six invitations to the White House; most recently participating in the Canterbury Children's Choir Festival, Canterbury, England. www.burlingtonboyschoir.com
Company Shops Concert Band
The Company Shops Concert Band provides performance opportunities for adults and students. The Band performs for the public at various community events.
Alamance Children's Theatre
The Alamance Children's Theatre is a young people community theatre that encourages children to become actively involved in and knowledgeable of the theatre arts. They produce three theatrical productions each year.
