Enjoy the holidays with a touch of European tradition as the City of Graham and the Alamance County Arts Council present the 5th annual Christkindlmarkt.
The exciting event for Alamance County and Triad-area citizens is scheduled for December 5th in downtown Graham when Alamance Count’s historic courthouse square will be transformed to reflect the beauty and intimacy of a traditional open-air European Christmas market.
Just as the European markets provide a gathering place for townspeople and merchants, Graham’s Christkindlmarkt was founded so that our people, too, might come together in the spirit of community and the season.
Conceived to be small in size, the market will be arranged on the grounds of the courthouse, allowing the Graham Christmas parade to pass by during the market and vehicular traffic to continue to move around the square throughout the day.
When the sun sets and the lights twinkle on, the true spirit of the market will come to life. There will be last minute shopping to complete, carols to be sung, fireworks to enjoy, memories to reflect upon and the joy of the community to share.
